      Sam Colley - BSc (Hons) MRICS

      Director and Owner

      Sam is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 11 years of experience in the development, property and construction industry. Sam is renowned for delivering complex projects from conception through to completion and prioritising client targets within the commercial parameters.

      Sam has a wealth of experience across the private sector, particularly in providing Development Management, Project Management and Employer Agent services to assure the best value with an end-to-end service.

      Having worked for a private practice for over a decade, Sam founded Ousebank Consultancy in his hometown York, to continue his hands-on approach and consistent delivery to clients. In his role as Director and Owner, Sam is involved in the day-to-day running of projects whilst also running and making key business strategic and management decisions.

      Away from the business, Sam enjoys spending time with his young daughter Isabelle and tries to find time to follow Leeds United with his father over a few beers on a weekend. Sam enjoys Sporting and Country pursuits, particularly shooting in the winter months with his close friends.

      James Shipley - MSc

      Associate Director

      James has over 15 years of professional construction experience across the United Kingdom. Originally from a Main Contractor background, James is well placed to maximise value for his clients. James has a wealth of experience in retail, industrial, commercial and residential schemes. James’s in-depth knowledge allows him to maximise the performance of multi-disciplinary teams and drive contractors to achieve the key expectations of Ousebank clients.

      James leads the Project Management, Employers Agent and Contract Administration part of the business. As well as this, James is the day-to-day contact for Ousebanks' professional teams and clients.

      Away from the business, James enjoys family time with his wife and two children, socialising in country pubs, playing golf, cycling and countryside walks.

      Liam King

      Assistant Surveyor

      Liam is an Assistant Surveyor at Ousebank Consultancy, working alongside the senior team across all professional services. Liam is currently completing his degree in Quantity Surveying at Sheffield Hallam University with the ambition to become a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Liam delivers responsibilities across various sectors and is client focused in all aspects of his work.

      Liam is particularly interested in sustainable construction methods and is enthusiastic about understanding the value management of delivering these.

      Max Colley

      Chartered Building Surveyor

      Max is a Chartered Building Surveyor, working nationally in the construction sector as a surveyor for more than 5 years. Max’s involvement in the commercial property sector has provided him with experience on a range of both single-use and mixed-use developments including new builds, refurbishments, and conversions.

      Max’s traditional building surveying background has proven he is a pragmatic problem solver with an eye for detail. Both these skills serve Max well in delivering schemes, where he has now honed his skills on Project Management, Employers Agent, and Contract Administration.

      Outside work, Max has always been into his rugby, and although not playing anymore he still follows the game regularly. Max also enjoys golf, being found on the course all year round.
