The project
Ousebank was appointed to provide Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying services for the redevelopment of a former brownfield site on Wigginton Road, York. The development, undertaken by GEM Construction, comprised high-quality three and four-bedroom homes, transforming a former scrapyard into an attractive residential scheme close to York city centre. The contemporary properties incorporate energy-efficient technologies, including air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging facilities, alongside private gardens, parking and landscaped communal areas. Ousebank provided contract administration and commercial management services throughout construction, overseeing valuations, cost control and contractual matters to support the successful delivery of the development.
